  5. i believe i have found the fix for any 706 mk2 that
  6. refuses to transmitt on any band/mode and gives a full
  7. bar display on alc when trying to transmitt!
  8.  
  9. there are two diode packs ( surface mount) on the main
  10. bd d13/14 and d22/23 these are ISV265-tl devices and
  11. they are responsible for the problem. there is most
  12. likley only one diode gone short, passing the dc
  13. voltage to the alc circuit and blocking the trans freq
  14. in the process. this seems to have been a rare but
  15. very hard to find fault on several 706's.
